ENCLOSURE NO.6.

(Extract from the Kwok Man San Man,Canton. 29th March, 1927)

The Provincial Kuomintang Department encourages the

Hong Kong General Labour Union.

(From the Chung Wah She News agency)

Seeing that the Hong Kong General Labour Union has

shown itself capable of leading the masses in their agitation within the sphere of influence of the Imperialists,

the Provincial Kuomintang Department has sent them a letter to encourage them. It reads as follows:-

"We have the honour to acknoweldge receipt of your letter

by express mail, and understand from it that the Imperialists

in Hong Kong about the time of the commemoration of our

late President on the 2nd anniversary of his death, made

some harsh regulations for the suppression of all freedom

of assembly and procession, and sent several thousand

British soldiers and constables to surround the meeting

place, expelled all speakers and forced the dispersion of

the meeting. We highly appreciate your conduct in having

led the masses in continuous agitation within the sphere of influence of the Imperialists. We hope that you will continue your efforts to the end, so that Imperialism may

be overthrown and the Nationalist Revolution accomplished. We shall do our utmost to support your Union and the oppressed

masses in Hong Kong. We earnestly look to you to do your

part.

To

The Executive Committee of the Chinese

Kuomintang Department in Kwong Tung.

The All-Hong Kong Labour Union.
